Idol Top 9 - I Wish I Could Think of a Clever Title...

I've been a bit busy lately. That doesn't mean I haven't kept up on my Idol!

I have a serious obsession. Addiction. Incredible fascination. Whatever you want to call it.

I. Need. Idol.

A few thoughts on the season so far:

1. Ryan's jokes this season have been almost funny. I can't believe I'm saying that, but hey, I'm all about the truth.

2. Steven Tyler is the new Paula Abdul. I have no idea what he is saying.

3. I really miss Simon. I love that the judges are building these kids up, I really do. I don't for one second miss Simon's mean comments. I do, however, miss his constructive criticism. There are a few contestants that really need a kick in the butt.

4. I love Jennifer Lopez. I'm addicted to her just as much as I am to Idol. She doesn't even need to speak. I. Love. Her.

5. Randy Jackson name drops like its his job.

A rundown of last night's contestants:

~Jacob - Michael Jackson "Man In The Mirror" - I'm a fan. Yes. He sang well, sure. But it wasn't my favorite.

~Haley - Janis Joplin "Piece Of My Heart" - I do love me some Haley. Awesome. She's come out of nowhere and I can't get enough of her!

~Casey - CCR "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" - Casey getting back to what I love about him. Just being him.

~Lauren - Aretha Franklin "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" - Big SIGH. I love Lauren. I fell in love with her at her audition. Since the competition started, though, I feel like she's been drifting away. The judges keep telling her she's so amazing, and she is, I love her voice, but she's not performing amazing. I wish they'd be honest with her.

~James - George Harrison "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" - I really liked seeing this side of James! I'm even happier that he threw in one of his signature notes towards the end. Sealed the deal for me, he's a keeper.

~Scotty - Elvis Presley "That's Alright" - LOVE LOVE LOVE! I'm on the Scotty train, for real.

~Pia - Tina Turner "River Deep, Mountain High" - Nice to see Pia do something different, but she still didn't move around the stage. The other contestants move around, awkwardly usually, but moving nonetheless. Break out of your shell, girlfriend, because that voice is incredible!

~Stefano - Percy Sledge "When A Man Loves A Woman" - Stefano is adorable. That smile gets me.

~Paul - Johnny Cash "Folsom Prison Blues" - Ah, there you are, Paul! Welcome back! :)

So not too much tonight, time for a tea party and a couple bedtime stories, and then results!!

My favorites of the night: Haley, Scotty, James, Casey.

Bottom three prediction: Paul, Stefano, Lauren.

I realize Lauren is a fan favorite, but I'm basing this on performance.

This is a tough season!!

The First Post!

Hello, World! After several months of blabbing to my husband and friends and facebook followers about what happened on my favorite television program that night, I decided to be semi-constructive and make a blog dedicated to my madness!

I'm behind on my current obsession, American Idol. Be ready for some updates!
